The local-first Avoma alternative

Avoma is a revenue-intelligence platform. Call recording is one part of a larger system built for sales teams, with scorecards, analytics, and CRM sync. If you want that whole platform, Autorec is not a replacement. If you mostly want the recording and the transcript without the bot, the cloud, and the per-seat bill, Autorec is the leaner option.

People rarely leave a meeting notetaker because it stopped working. They leave for three reasons, and Autorec was built to fix all of them.

A bot in the call is awkward

Avoma records calls with a bot that joins as a participant. Autorec records the meeting window from your desktop, so no extra attendee appears in the call.

Every call ends up in someone else's cloud

Avoma is web-only and keeps every recording, transcript, and analytic in its cloud. Autorec keeps your recordings on your own disk. Nothing is uploaded, and the app sends no telemetry.

The per-seat bill keeps climbing

Avoma is sold per user per month at $19 and up, and the analytics tiers cost more. Autorec is €20 once for a major version. The free tier covers 3 recordings per 24 hours at 40 minutes each.

Where Autorec is the wrong choice

Autorec is single-user. There is no team admin, no shared library, and no analytics dashboard. It has no mobile app and no CRM integrations, and it doesn't do anything live during the call. macOS is in development and not shipped yet. If your team needs a shared searchable archive or CRM sync, a cloud tool is the better fit, and this page is not trying to talk you out of it.

Common questions

Does Autorec do conversation analytics like Avoma?

No. Avoma's scorecards, talk-time analytics, and coaching tools have no equivalent in Autorec. Autorec records the call, transcribes it on-device, and writes a summary. If analytics drive your workflow, Avoma is the right tool.

Can Autorec connect to my CRM?

No. Autorec has no CRM integrations. It produces local files. If CRM sync is part of why you use Avoma, that is a genuine feature gap.

Is Autorec usable for one person who just wants call records?

That is exactly who it is for. Autorec is a single-user desktop app that records, transcribes, and summarizes your own meetings, with everything kept on your machine.

Does Autorec run as a desktop app or in the browser?

It is a desktop app for Linux and Windows, unlike Avoma which is web-only. macOS is in development and not shipped yet.
