The autorec Application
The autorec desktop application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All recordings, transcriptions, and related files are stored locally on your computer.
- Recordings are saved to a directory you choose on your machine.
- Transcription runs entirely on your device using a local AI model. No audio or video data is sent to any server.
- AI Summaries (optional) send only the text transcript to your configured AI provider. No audio, video, or personal data is included. You control which provider is used and you provide your own API key.
- Model downloads are fetched from Hugging Face. No personal data is sent during downloads.
The autorec.app Website
This website (autorec.app) is a static site hosted on Netlify.
- Netlify Analytics may collect basic, anonymized usage data (page views, referrers). No cookies are used for analytics.
- Lemon Squeezy is our merchant of record for purchases. When you buy autorec, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment information, email address, and billing details as necessary to process the transaction. See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
- macOS Waitlist — if you sign up for the macOS waitlist, your email address is collected via Netlify Forms. We use it only to notify you when macOS support is available.
Cookies
This website does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party services (Lemon Squeezy checkout) may set cookies as part of the payment process.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as required to process payments through Lemon Squeezy.
